Meet Our Team
Sarah Brawdy, DVM
Dr. Sarah Brawdy grew up outside of Buffalo, New York. She attended the State University of New York College at Geneseo, where she majored in biology and minored in chemistry and art studio. After graduating from Geneseo, Dr. Brawdy received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 2009. She completed both a rotating internship and an internal medicine internship at the Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services, before joining their emergency service as an attending clinician where she worked for seven years before joining the team at Fairview Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Brawdy has professional interests in anesthesia and pain management, emergency and critical care, and internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Brawdy enjoys running, reading, painting, baking, and spending time with family. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, two cats named Penelope and Mike, and two dogs named Olive and Dewey.
Amie Rennie, DVM, CVA
Amie Rennie is an associate veterinarian at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from Michigan State University with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2010 and received her bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Michael's College in 2000. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist and working on becoming a certified veterinary food therapist. Prior to joining the team at Fairview Veterinary Hospital, she worked as an associate veterinarian at Nunda Veterinary Clinic seeing both small and large animals.
Outside of work, Dr. Rennie enjoys trail running, hiking, cross country skiing and cycling. She has one dog named Amara.
Loren M. Rodriguez, DVM
Dr. Loren M. Rodriguez is an associate veterinarian at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She is originally from Colorado and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado College. She then attended Cornell University, where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2015.
After veterinary school, Dr. Rodriguez completed a small animal rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC and a neurology internship at BluePearl Veterinary Specialists in Sandy Springs, GA. She has also worked with exotic animals while volunteering at Inti Wara Yassi Ambue Ari Parque in Bolivia.
Dr. Rodriguez’s favorite aspects of working at Fairview are the great team who work well together and the ability to practice up to date/quality medicine.
Dr. Rodriguez has two dogs named Minion who is a Pit Bull mix and Nad who is a Chihuahua mix. She also has Bearded Dragon named Marzipan! In her free time, she enjoys salsa dancing, live music, hiking, rock climbing, movie marathons, and kickboxing.
The Management Team
Tammy grew up just outside of Syracuse, NY. She has been employed in the animal care industry for the past 30 years. Tammy started out as a veterinary assistant in college and since then has worked in four different states as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, and hospital manager. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Geneseo. She manages both Fairview Veterinary Hospital and Cats & Critters. She enjoys the variety of animals along with getting to know all of the staff from both hospitals. The caring and incredible staff members are what make her job fun and satisfying!
In Tammy’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, Harvey B.O.B. Fetterman, Ph.D and Ezekial. When she’s not snuggling them, you’ll find her running, biking, hiking, reading, and exploring new places and restaurants. Tammy has two daughters who she also loves spending time with.
Jennifer Gargan grew up in York, NY. She is a full-time LVT Supervisor and has been with Monroe Veterinary Associates for the past 17 years. After working 10 years at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services, Jennifer enjoys being able to see mostly healthy pets here at Fairview Veterinary Hospital but still uses her emergency skills and experience when necessary.
Jennifer has a Pitt Bull named Riley, a Pitt Bull mix named Saphyra, and three cats: Pheobe and Tuka (Domestic Shorthair cats) and Oliver (Siamese mix). She enjoys spending her free time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. You’ll also find her kayaking, traveling, hiking, going to festivals, and teaching Veterinary Technology part-time at Medaille College.
Client Experience Supervisor
Therese M. was born in Rochester, NY and grew up in Ontario, NY. Therese has been with Monroe Veterinary Associates for the past six years and has been at Fairview Veterinary Hospital for the past year as the Client Experience Supervisor. She has been working in the animal care industry for 11 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in music/anthropology from Ithaca College. She loves working with an incredible group of compassionate and caring staff—she’s thrilled to be a part of this team!
When she has time, Therese enjoys relaxing, reading, playing the clarinet, gardening, and antiquing with her husband, John. Her animal family includes a pug named Sally; two cats named Poops and Kitty Mao; and two tarantulas named Tuco and Badger.
The Veterinary Technicians
Paula was born and raised in Auburn, NY. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She has been working in the animal care industry for the past 32 years!
Her favorite part about working here is working with the compassionate, talented team. She has many fur babies at home and you will find her hiking, kayaking, and biking in her free time.
The Animal Care Staff
Jonathan was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Hatillo. He has been working in the animal care industry for five years. Jonathan has his Associate Veterinary Technician degree from Puerto Rico. He loves working with animals because of all the unique exotic animals he gets to interact with.
Jonathan has a ferret named Obie and a cat named Mouse. Mouse used to be a hospital cat but is now enjoying retirement with Jonathan! In his free time, Jonathan likes to watch science and animal documentaries, play video games, and watch different television series. A fun fact about Jonathan—he is the president and founder of Real Animal Friends which is a protection organization for abandoned animals in Puerto Rico.
Kim Ross was born in Canandaigua, NY and grew up in Bloomfield, NY. She has been caring for animals for around two years as a full-time Animal Care Assistant.
Her favorite part of the job is that she gets to work with animals all day long. At home, she has Lola who is a Pitt Bull/Lab mix, Ally who is a Lab mix, and two Domestic Shorthair cats named Dusty and Tarzan. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the woods and climbing waterfalls with her dogs.
Mackenzie Meleca was born and raised in Webster, NY. She has been working in the animal care industry since 2017 and started at Fairview Veterinary Hospital as a full-time Animal Care Assistant in July 2018. She earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from SUNY Oswego.
Mackenzie enjoys working with animals every day and helping them feel better. She loves all of her coworkers and seeing their beautiful faces every day. She has an Akita named Apollo and a Basset Hound named Sadie who she loves bringing to the dog park.
Kristina is a part-time Animal Care Assistant here at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She has been working in the animal related field since 2006.She has her bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing. Kristina is a Rochester native. She is passionate about animals and considers her work to be more of a hobby than a job.
Kristina is mom to two cats, Bentley and Bella as well as two dogs, Kai, who is a Rottweiler mix and Luna, who is a Pyrenees/Bernese mix. When she’s not working, Kristina enjoys working out, doing yoga, spending time with her husband, Duane, cooking, shopping, reading and traveling.
Taylor Clark was born in Plattsburgh, NY and grew up in Fairport, NY. Taylor began working as a full-time kennel attendant in July of 2013. She is now a full-time Animal Care Assistant! Taylor is currently attending Medaille College in order to obtain a degree in Veterinary Technology. The best part of her job is getting to work with animals every day as well as seeing Raven and Dr. Rennie!
Taylor has a yellow Labrador named Belle and two cats named Tigs and Mittens. In her free time, you’ll find her binge-watching shows and spending time with friends and family.
The Reception Staff
Lauren Fordham was born and raised in Webster, NY. Four years ago, Lauren began her journey in the animal care industry as an Administrative Client Service Representative right here at Fairview Veterinary Hospital! She loves helping the clients and seeing their pets happy and healthy.
Lauren has a Yorkie named Lola and two cats named Nova and Dude. She loves spending time with her fur babies along with her fiancé and daughter, Adalyn. Snuggling on the couch or hiking trails together is the perfect way to spend free time in Lauren’s eyes!
Carol was born in Penn Yan, NY and grew up in Fairport, NY with her cats, Patches and Smokey. In November of 2017, she became a full-time Client Service Representative for Fairview Veterinary Hospital. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with everyone who comes in—both human and furry!
In her free time, Carol likes to read and travel to visit her family.
Christine was born and raised in Albion, NY. She is a part-time CSR and has been working in the animal care industry since March of 2006.
She enjoys meeting the clients and their pets. She hopes to make them feel right at home with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere when they come in. She has two Airedale Terriers named Lean and Myka along with three Domestic Shorthair cats named Cobie, Ceraycee, and Remy. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going out for dinner, going to the movies, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
The Kennel Staff
Caitie Acker was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY. Working as a full-time kennel attendant as of August 2018 has been Caitie’s first time working in the animal care industry. She grew up with animals and cannot imagine herself working somewhere where they are not present! Caitie is currently attending Medaille College to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
She has a Pit Bull named Lucy, a Tortoiseshell cat named Mya, and a rabbit named Bella. Caitie is hoping to find a shelter near her home where she can use her free time to volunteer.
Kelly Ashley was born and raised in Pittsford, NY. She has been at Fairview working as a part-time kennel assistant since March 2019. This is her first time working in the animal care industry and she loves it so far. She knows it is impossible for her to have a bad day because there is always a dog nearby to get hugs and kisses from!
At home, Kelly has a beagle named Bailey, a painted turtle named Rocky, and a goldfish named Bob Marley. In her free time, she enjoys training Bailey. Bailey can close doors and turn off light switches!
Olivia Brassner was born and raised in Fairport, NY. Working as a kennel attendant since August 2018, this is her first time working in the animal care industry. She has always had a soft spot for animals—she adores them! Olivia finds working in the hospital challenging in all the best ways and she loves when she gets a chance to assist her coworkers. On her first day, she had the chance to hold an animal while an ultrasound was being performed and she thought it was the coolest thing!
Phil was born in Providence, RI and grew up in Fairport, NY. He has been a part-time Kennel Attendant since December of 2016. The best parts of working in his position are taking care of the animals and learning about the veterinary field. He also enjoys meeting the clients and spending the day with his coworkers.
At home, he has one cat named Tip who is a Domestic Shorthair. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with and petting Tip, playing guitar and hanging out with friends.
Zach Faucher was born and raised in Brighton, NY. He has been a full-time kennel attendant at Fairview since March 2019 but has been in the animal care industry for the past 2 years.
He finds it rewarding when he gets to help out with sick or injured animals in the treatment room. It is a nice feeling to help the animals feel safe, comfortable, and ultimately better. Working in the kennel gives Zach an opportunity to provide affection for the animals that are missing their parents.
At home, Zach has a Bearded Dragon named Gus and a Chocolate Labradoodle named Abbie. In his free time, you’ll find Zach running, going to the gym, and practicing guitar.
Office Cat Extraordinaire
Raven is a 14 year old black domestic short hair kitty. She has enjoyed her entire life here at Fairview.
She likes to spend her days sun bathing, laying in her bed up front on the reception desk or her new favorite spot is the table in room 2. She also enjoys filing the paperwork that is left out on her down time.
Raven will always make her presence known by giving a big meow (or many meows) until she is given the attention she deserves. She will also make it known when she wants the sink turned on so she can receive water. Raven does enjoy the occasional snuggles and kisses but it MUST be on her terms, of course! Raven is definitely the face of Fairview and brings a smile to all of the employees and clients faces every single day!
