Meet Our Team
Sarah Brawdy, DVM
Dr. Sarah Brawdy grew up outside of Buffalo, New York. She attended the State University of New York College at Geneseo, where she majored in biology and minored in chemistry and art studio. After graduating from Geneseo, Dr. Brawdy received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 2009. She completed both a rotating internship and an internal medicine internship at the Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services, before joining their emergency service as an attending clinician where she worked for seven years before joining the team at Fairview Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Brawdy has professional interests in anesthesia and pain management, emergency and critical care, and internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Brawdy enjoys running, reading, painting, baking, and spending time with family. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, two cats named Penelope and Mike, and two dogs named Olive and Dewey.
Amie Rennie, DVM, CVA
Amie Rennie is an associate veterinarian at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from Michigan State University with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2010 and received her bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Michael's College in 2000. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist and working on becoming a certified veterinary food therapist. Prior to joining the team at Fairview Veterinary Hospital, she worked as an associate veterinarian at Nunda Veterinary Clinic seeing both small and large animals.
Outside of work, Dr. Rennie enjoys trail running, hiking, cross country skiing and cycling. She has one dog named Amara.
Loren M. Rodriguez, DVM
Dr. Loren M. Rodriguez is an associate veterinarian at Fairview Veterinary Hospital. She is originally from Colorado and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado College. She then attended Cornell University, where she earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2015.
After veterinary school, Dr. Rodriguez completed a small animal rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC and a neurology internship at BluePearl Veterinary Specialists in Sandy Springs, GA. She has also worked with exotic animals while volunteering at Inti Wara Yassi Ambue Ari Parque in Bolivia.
Dr. Rodriguez has one dog named Minion. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, hiking, movie marathons and kickboxing.
The Veterinary Technicians
Paula is a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Fairview. She has been working in the animal-related field for 27 years.
Greta is a full time LVT at Fairview Veterinary Hospital and has been working in the animal related field for four years.
Greta has several pets of her own. She has two Chihuahuas (Lucy and George), a cat named Honesty, a gerbil named Leo and three Chinchillas (Buddy, Cookie and Biscuit).
The Animal Care Staff
Hospital Team Supervisor
Therese is the Hospital Team Supervisor at Fairview Veterinary Hospital, overseeing the animal care assistants, client service representatives, kennel staff and facilities. She previoiusly worked at Perinton Veterinary Hospital as a full-time Animal Care Assistant.
Therese received her Bachelor’s degree in Music and Anthropology from Ithaca College. She is currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program at San Juan College and is in the process of studying to become a Nationally Approved Veterinary Assistant.
When she has time, Therese enjoys playing the clarinet, gardening, and antiquing with her husband, John. Her animal family includes a pug named Sally; three cats named Sophie, Poops, and Stewie; and a tarantula named Tuco.
Originally from Bloomfield, NY, Kim now resides in Rochester. She has been working in the animal related field for a little over a year as an Animal Care Assistant. She is currently in school at Medaille College studying to become a vet tech.
Kim is mom to several fur babies. She has a Chocolate Lab-Pit Mix named Lola and three Domestic Short Hair cats (Mamma, Dusty and Tarzan). In her free time, Kim enjoys hiking and climbing waterfalls with her dog Lola. She even enjoys doing this in the winter!
Kristina is a part-time Animal Care Assistant here at Fairview. She has been working in the animal related field since 2006.She has her bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing. Kristina is a Rochester native. She is passionate about animals and considers her work to be more of a hobby than a job.
Kristina is mom to two felines, Bentley and Bella. When she’s not working, Kristina enjoys working out, doing yoga, spending time with her husband, Duane, cooking, shopping, reading and traveling.
Morgan grew up in here in Rochester, specifically Victor. She is new to the veterinary field but has been working around animals for years. She enjoys advocating for animals who need help.
Morgan has her Bachelors in English lit and French from St. John Fisher. She is mom to a Pomeranian named Fran and a Polish Warmblood horse named Holmes. In her spare time, Morgan loves to horseback ride. She has been an avid rider since she was five years old. She also enjoys spending time in her barn during her days off.
The Reception Staff
Lauren is full time Client Service Representative here at Fairview. She has been with us since May of 2015. A native of Webster, NY, Lauren is familiar with The Greater Rochester Area. She loves working in a field where she can help animals and support clients every day.
Lauren is mom to a five year old Yorkie named Lola and two kittens named Nova and Dude. She loves snuggling with her fur babies and relaxing with her fiancé, Alex. Lauren and Alex are expecting their first baby, due July of 2018!
Christine grew up in Albion NY. She has been a part-time client service representative at Fairview since 2007. She enjoys “interacting with clients and seeing their pets.” She especially enjoys “seeing new puppies and kittens.” Christine shares her home with her dog, Leah and two cats, Cobie and Graycie. In her free time, Christine enjoys hiking, watching movies, playing cards and spending time with the family and friends (which of course includes her pets!).
Yahaira was born and raised right here in Rochester, NY. Although she’s only been working in the animal related field for a few months, she really enjoys working with animals, especially the puppies! She is currently a student at Medaille College to become a vet tech.
Yahaira has one domestic short hair named Bit Bits. She loves spending her free time with her children and cuddling with Bit Bits.
The Kennel Staff
Phillip was born in Providence, RI, but grew up in Fairport, NY. Phillip is a part time kennel attendant here at Fairview and has been working in the pet-related field for a year.
Phillip enjoys learning about the veterinary field and spending time with the animals that he cares for. He has a cat of his own named Tip, a Domestic Shorthaired. In his free time, Phillip likes to play with Tip. He also enjoys playing guitar and the trumpet.
Jill was born and raised in Fairport, NY. She is a full-time kennel attendant and has been with Fairview since July of 2017. Jill recently graduated from SUNY Geneseo with her bachelor’s in biology. She plans on continuing her education to become a veterinarian. Jill values the experience she is getting from working as a kennel attendant and is excited to learn more about the field.
Jill is mom to an English Springer Spaniel named Domino and a Lionhead bunny named Donna. In her free time, Jill volunteers at Lollypop Farm working with the goats, sheep, llamas and cows.
Taylor was born in Plattsburgh and grew up in Fairport, NY. She is currently a part time kennel attendant at Fairview. She is also studying to be a radiology technician. In her free time, Taylor enjoys hanging out with friends, playing soccer and being outdoors. She has one cat named Tigs.
