Dr. Mark Pessin
Having graduated with a BS Degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College and an MS Degree in Wildlife from North Dakota State University, Dr. Mark Pessin attended the University on Minnesota where he was awarded his DVM Degree in 1988.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Pessin accepted an internship position at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford. After completing his internship in 1989, he remained with the Monroe Veterinary Associates. Dr. Pessin served as Director of Companion Animal Hospital from 1995 until 2000 when he joined Fairview as the Director.
Dr Pessin's past-times include biking, golfing, hiking and doing sports with his 2 sons. He also enjoys the companionship of his numerous pets. They include 3 cats (Gohan, Lemon and Tip) and 1 dog (Louie), as well as several goats, sheep and a llama.
Dr. Robin Lovelock
As an undergraduate, Dr. Robin Lovelock attended the University of Rochester and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Geology in 1976.
Dr. Lovelock attended the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University and graduated with her DVM Degree in 1983. During her 4 years at Cornell, Dr. Lovelock was the recipient of several academic awards. In her junior year, she was inducted into Phi Zeta, the Veterinary Honor Society. At graduation, she was awarded the Mary Louise Moore Prize for Bacteriology and the Sheidy Prize for Pharmacology.
Immediately following veterinary school graduation, Dr. Lovelock was chosen for an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed this internship in 1984 and joined Monroe Veterinary Associates. She has served in various capacities over the years, and is currently serving as co-director at Fairview Veterinary Hospital.
Dr Lovelock is a member of the Internship Committee of Monroe Veterinary Associates and is involved in the LVT Continuing Education program. In her freetime, Dr. Lovelock enjoys skiing and biking, as well as travelling and spending time with her children, family and friends.
